Buying new fish for your aquarium is always an exciting experience. To ensure your new friend settles in well follow these simple steps;

1) Remove all packaging the bag containing the fish was protected in while ensuring that your new fish is not being exposed to bright light.

2) Place the closed bag in the aquarium and let it settle for a few minutes.

3) Open the bag to allow a small amount of the aquarium water into the bag continue doing so every few minutes. (Can take upto an hour).

4) You can now release your fish into the aquarium. (Many recommend having the lights off during and after this process to allow your fish more time to settle down in it’s new environment)
